A Shoe-In For Fall

I’m of the adage that shoes are works of art; why else do
you think I spend so much time sitting in front of my shoe shelves and admiring
the stilettos, platforms and peep-toe pumps? I’m just happy that someone
else realizes that as well. That someone is Toronto,
Canada’s The Bata Shoe Museum, a whole museum dedicated to our favorite
accessory, shoes. When beauty guru Susan Posnick informed us of this heavenly
place, where you can admire anything from “French heels” from the roaring 20s and
Japanese getas, to Marilyn
Monroe’s sexy red leather stilettos, it put a pep in our step and got us very
excited for fall shoe shopping.
Here, we’ve gathered fall’s most
museum-worthy shoes, and as you can tell, we’re lusting after sheen, shine,
extra sparkles and graphic prints. The more over-the-top, the better chance
they have at making it to my own personal art collection.
