Sirens rang and the fashion police showed up on the runway ready to cuff wrists and spot some cankles to boot! Dallas’ stylish force must have issued more than a handful of citations considering the chunk of money they raised for Fashion Group International-Dallas Scholarship fund. Oh and it didn't stop there, FGI’s A Night of Stars had much more in store than fierce fashion, glowing skin, and kick-ass industry leaders...

A fashion show left the audience starry eyed after viewing the latest and greatest from the Hottest Designers that You Should Know: Elli Grace, Elizabeth Anyaa, Shirin Askari, Nha Khanh, Prashe + Nest jewelry produced immaculately by none other than Jan Strimple Productions and brilliant stylist Candy Long.

Dallas is the #1 growing city in the US according to CNN Money which explains the expanding number of young and successful entrepreneurs populating the vibrant city.  Career Achievement and Rising Star awards were presented in the fashion and lifestyle categories to the very deserving professionals while inspiring students to  reach for their wildest dreams.

“Your vision of where or who you want to be is the greatest asset you have." (Paul Arden)

Amidst the martinis and major industry players I remembered something very important, when you devote yourself passionately and give your best to something you love, then You Can Absolutely Have Your Dreams! it's then that the sky’s the limit and when you reach that point, you're among the stars- work harder! Like Katt Williams once said... “I don't even go to birthday parties if they're doin' the same as they were doin' last year! No! Ya gotta keep doin' it better and better and better and better!”  Isn't that the truth? Wouldn't you be bored with yourself if you didn't?

“If everything seems under control, you’re not going fast enough.” Mario Andretti

So, how you doin'?

Small Business owners are lalgery forgotten. Thats why I only focus on them. I have experience several members of my family file bankruptcy due to small business failures. I also I suffered through 2 destroyed businesses due to failure however, in my failings I have learned some of the secrets to success. (Who can say they know it all? What I like about small business owners is that they are not afraid to take huge risks and lay it all on the line. But, I agree they do need a lot of help with their marketing. I think having them go the social media and email route is not only the least expensive but its also the most effective. Thanks for the stats!
