Yesterday was the unveiling of Marc Jacob's Spring/Summer 2011 Ready-to-Wear Line at New York Fashion Week and to say it was a beautiful collection is really an understatement. His color palette alone was to die. The colors are rich and bold, popping off the runway like precious jewels.
The fabrics were a range of soft and sheer, sleek and shiny and muted and structured. He had a range of styles from long dresses slit up to there (showing off little peek-a-boo shorts), flowing pant legs and see through tops, to mini dresses with voluminous sleeves and structured jackets and, of course, his signature MJ patterns.
The accessories! They were almost better than the clothes! The oversized flowers that decorated the hair, necks and waists of the models were the perfect finishing touch to his collection.
