Tips & Tricks
Fashion stylists have more tricks up their sleeves than a magician with a bunny and a hat. Here are six tips that will help you stomp the most common wardrobe malfunctions.
1. Get a Better Fit
Your shoes have the potential of fitting perfectly by making simple adjustments with shoe cushions.
Foot Petals makes products that solve almost every problem imaginable. If you’re stepping out of your heels, try Heavenly Heelz, it provides a better fit and prevents blisters. For arch support, there’s Amazing Arches, which helps reduce back pain and foot fatigue... Who doesn’t love that?
2. Don’t Be A Drag
Now you can wear your pants with heels and also have the option to rock them with your favorite flats without dragging the bottom. Say hello to
Zakkerz, a fabric strip with magnets that hold cuffed pants in place while being perfectly disguised.
3. Remove Deodorant Marks
Gal Pal sponges are the easiest and fastest way to get rid of the horrifying deodorant marks on your clothes. A no-brainer for the closet and on-the-go.
4. Forget Panty Lines
A visible panty line is the ultimate no-no. If there’s chance for one, ditch the undies in favor of
C-String.
5. Stay Polished
They say you can tell a lot about a person from the shoes they are wearing... And by the end of the day, my shoes have turned into a pair of banged up Blahniks- you’d think I walked through a rocky construction site (to get to the nearest Starbucks, of course.) Truthfully, I am not sure how I accumulate the scuffs but I know it happens to many of us. The best way to damage control the situation- before happy hour- is to fill in the marks with a trusty sharpie. It’s an instant fix for shoe scuffs- I’ve even used it to touch up emerald colored heels before they hit the runway.
6. Stick With Me
Double stick tape is a basic yet I find that it’s missing in many bags and closets. Pre-cut strips make it easy to use and very handy for your extra sexy pieces.
What are some of your favorite wardrobe tricks? Please share, we'd love to try them out!
