We are lucky to host the wonderfully bright & bubbly, Kelly, of Fabulous K. Kelly is an amazing girl, well respected blogger, and FABULOUS site designer. We are happy to have her here and ask Kelly:
 
WHAT IS YOUR MUSE?
 
Hello + thank you for having me today!  I am so excited about this topic because I get to discuss my number one muse, COLOR!
 
 
When I think about what inspires the different aspects of my style (what I wear, my blog posts, how I decorate my home, my work) the one common factor is color. Bright, bold, beautiful color is always my starting point; I simply can't get enough! I find myself most drawn to punchy pinks, cobalt blues and chartreuse; all of which I adore paired with gold. To me, there is no combination off limits and luckily color is the muse that keeps on giving.  Just when I think I am over a particular hue (chocolate brown), I'll see it paired with something unexpected (neon yellow) and fall in love all over again. Pretty lovely, if you ask me!

    By "over the top" I mean a very themed party that ileundcs decorations, the outfit, etc. all themed. Maybe riding in on an animal or having an ice sculpture of a favorite character, etc. I've seen this on TV, but wondered if you had any ideas. I appreciate your taking the time to write about that beautiful story. Did you ever write anything about that? My own past is not the ideal for culling those kinds of ideas. My own Sweet 16 was with 3 other girls and took place in the foyer of my apartment at my mother's dining room table. She catered it and the highlight of the afternoon was her jello mold.:) Not exactly over the top.:)

    Color is a great muse!! I love love love bright and bold colors and I try to use them in my wardrobe as often as possible! Thanks for the giveaway over at Ten June because I had not heard of the products until reading her blog!

    Not sure what my muse is! Classic elegance, Napa Valley, Ocean Breezes, the sounds of water- waterfalls, ocean surf, rain...the colors of Aqua, white, pale pale sage,...classical music...travel... art...hmm, still not sure....all minister life to me!

    My muse is definitely the color gray. It can be soothing, but when paired with bold yellow or hot pink, it can be really vibrant. The color can totally transform a once dull room.

    My muse would have to be fashion. I think about it all the time. With fashion also comes color. I love everything that fashion has to offer. It is so fun being able to come up with so many outfit combinations.

    Oh gosh, I guess I'd have to say that nature is my muse! When it's cold out I wear darker colors in my clothes and makeup. When it's warm, I tend to go for brighter clothing, and bronzey makeup!

    My muse(s) is/are sparkles, glitter, and anything and everything shiny. A little bit of shimmer adds a whole new dimension to almost anything! Cosmetics, art and fashion. :)

    I love color -- but, I also love neutrals. I try to find a balance between neutrals, and incorporating bright splashes of color (tastefully) to accent my wardrobe and the rooms of my home.
