It's Skin Cancer Awareness Month and here at Susan Posnick, we're giving you health tips and tricks all May.
The average workweek may lock you indoors, but don't think that means you can ditch your SPF. There's plenty of random times you're in and out and under the sun everyday--and need protection. Here's a few places you may not realize you're getting harmful sun exposure:
Running errands. Taking a lunch break today? 10 am to 3 pm are peak hours for UV rays. If you're out and about, make sure you're protected.
Cloudy days. Just because there's overcast doesn't mean the sun isn't there, doing its damage. No matter the weather, prevent skin cancer, hyper-pigmentation, and wrinkles with sunscreen.
Exercising. Morning yoga? After-work jog? Put on SPF prior to every workout outdoors. We recommend
ColorFLO, as it's sweat-proof and provides natural sun protection.
Driving. Whether you're at the wheel or a passenger--windows up or windows down--the sun is still making its way into your car. Though your daily moisturizer with SPF is fine for everyday drives, put on extra sunscreen for longer trips. Make sure to cover your arms, legs, and neck!
Playtime. If you're picking the kids up from school or taking the dog for a walk, you're probably on the go. Remember to reapply if you know you'll be out for a significant amount of time.
