In the Know
This week has been absolutely freezing! If you're feeling under the weather but up for a cocktail or two... I've got just the recipe for you!
This delightful potion will help "take the chill off things" and soothe your throat and sinuses.
Hot Toddy Recipe
Ingredients:
2 measures scotch whiskey
3 measures boiling water
1/2 measure lemon juice
1 teaspoon honey (or brown sugar)
3 drops angostura bitters
1 slice lemon, studded with cloves
ground nutmeg
To make:
Put the honey, bitters, lemon juice, and clove-studded lemon in your mug. Add the scotch and pour in the boiling water. Stir to dissolve the sugar and sprinkle with ground nutmeg.
Recipes vary of course, but basically all you need is a mug of hot herbal tea, a shot of whiskey, 1-2 teaspoons on honey, and a slice of lemon.
Drink it when it's hot and enjoy the aroma!
xo, tamar
