Growing up we all heard it from our mothers “chocolate will make you break out, and make your skin oily!” I always listen to my mothers usually wise words, except when it came to the matter of my beloved chocolate.
No matter how bad my day might seem or how yucky I may feel- a rich decadent piece of dark chocolate always lifts my spirits. We all know during a break up or during that dreaded time of the month a little piece will never fail you.

After doing some research I have found that this “chocolate myth” is not only out dated but the effects it can have are very beneficial for you. Dark chocolate is filled with anti oxidants around 8 times the amount of strawberries and raises your serotonin levels, leaving you in a better mind frame. It also contains flavonoids which help decrease your blood pressure.

As far as the skin goes, coca butter and fatty acids which happen to be very rich in glycerides that not only softens the skin but deliver moisturizing lipids which plump and firm the skin. Many spas are now using chocolate skin treatments to improve skin tone and over all elasticity.

Next time you think about passing on that piece of delicious chocolate--get the silly myths out of your head, because you could be doing your body and mind a bigger favor than you think!

Jessica Gisselle / Now this is going to sound kinda funny but here is my ltitle list of how to make my lips a ltitle more plump (It really works too)1. Try brushing your lips GENTLY with a toothbrush2. When you put on lip gloss put extra on the bottom middle of your lip and the top middle. (This will give your lips a fuller effect.3. Outline your lips with a nude lip liner, then put lip gloss on.4. Try Sally Hansens thin lip collagen boost. Now this does not exactly plump your lips but it gives your lips a fuller look (Especially when you Put lip gloss over it).Good Luck!!Hope this helps a ltitle.

Eating it is all fine and good, but what about rubbing it on your body like in the picture?
